The teams participating were Port Arthur Memorial (Big 5A), Ozen (4A), WO-S (3A), Port Neches-Groves (4A), Vidor (4A), Little Cypress-Mauriceville (4A), Lumberton (4A), Nederland (4A, did not show), Beaumont Central (4A, did not show), Huntsville (4A), Friendswood (4A), Pearland (4A, did not show), Orangefield (3A), and Bridge City (3A). Pearland and Nederland were replaced with the Port Arthur Memorial "B" team and the WO-S freshman team.

Finals
PA Memorial 39, WO-S 28

Memorial and WO-S advance to the state tourney. Great final game. WO-S led 28-27 with about a minute left. Memorial scored, and WO-S heaved a pass into the end zone with about 10 seconds left to try to tie it, but Memorial picked it off and ran it back.

Kenneth Beasley is absolutely uncoverable. He'll tear it up this year. Good hands, 4.4 speed, around 6 feet, he's the total package.

That about sums him up.Looking forward to watching this kid for two more years.:D
