d-field is going to have a few changes...i dont think they will be as strong this next year. They will have to adjust to a new head coach....but who knows

I don't know what Daingerfield has coming back but there will be an adjustment phase. Just how much this will set them back is anyones guess. They will be transitioning from a power running game to a more finesse type offense. The OC is a former coach at Highland Park and will likely bring a spread-like offense. I still look for them to be plenty salty, but they play a tough schedule. Greenwood has had a great tradition of late but they graduated most of their starters last year. I think that they will make the playoffs and do well, but I don't know if I would put them this high this fast.

The purpose of posting polls is for discussion and fun. I am sure that Sans is not taking any comments personally. As long as we take polls for what they are....they can be a fun way to discuss the upcoming season and educate each other about various teams.

I only have a few minutes, but I will be back on later tonight. I am going to try and post my 16-30 when I get in.

To the folks at Marlin. I feel for you, but I have my reasons. I personally don't think Marlin was a top ten team last year either. Sure they made the final four, but that was due to the way our playoff system is structured. Atlanta beat several teams that were better than Marlin in MY Opinion. I look for Marlin to make my top 40, but they just don't have all it takes to be on my top 15 list. It's my list, I am sure you disagree, feel free to make your own. I will go into further detail tonight, but I am busy with a family function at the moment. PEACE

Looks pretty good but I think you need to have Barbers Hill in there somewhere. They get some real solid players back from last year and their underclassmen will really help them alot. Should be a real solid team!

Some more to the fans of Marlin.

For starters let me say that I in no way want you to think you don't have a good football team because you do. Now with that said let's look at a few of my observations.

1. I think you caught Ennis off guard two years ago, and go a lot more love in the polls than you deserved. Yes you played a whale of a ballgame against a fantastic team, but even a blind hog can find water.

2. Last year when you faced good opponents, you either got killed, or you played in a close game. You didn't dominate a single game against a top caliber team last year.

3. Your team was dominated at the line of scrimmage by Atlanta. And in my opinion, every team that Atlanta played in the playoffs last year could have beaten you handily. I didn't put them all ahead of you in my poll because I think this year you will do much better. But last year you would not have made my top 40. Sorry, but you did not impress me last year at all. This year I think you are team number 25 going into preseason. And there are 180 other teams in 3A that would love to be number 25. Good Luck. & Peace.

Oh well i dont care what you think about marlin... all that matters is that me made it even though we got you a$$es handed to us!!! im very happy with that!!!

Daingerfield graduated I believe 10-11 starters on offense, as well as a big number on D. and with this new spread offense, I don't know how good they will be. If you remember, we tried this same type of offense for 9 games last year before scrapping it and going to the wishbone for the playoffs and all of this year.
