The Pistons showed the world what a "team" really is. Everyone on that Pistons team did what it took to get a ring.

Awesome!!!!!!!!!

The Lakers tried to buy their championship and failed, let's hope the Yankees do the same.

It's nice to see that the East is getting better. Detroit's play was awesome I haven't seen D like that in a while.

Now all we need is William Hung to sing "We Are the Champions" like he did for the Game Show Network show "Extreeme Dodgeball". It was awesome!!!!

Congrats to the Pistons. I guess that the refs finally started calling the games fair cause according to everyone on here, thats the only way the Lakers can ever win, when the refs call the games in their favor. But the Pistons outplayed LA. The Lakers role players did not step up. I am interested to see what LA does this offseason. Should be interesting. Prolly going to see a lot different LA team next year.

Look for Kobe to be wearing either a Spurs or Sixer jersey next year... if hes a spur, no more Hedo or Tony Parker... if he is a 76er, no more AI in Philly. Shaq MIGHT stay, but i believe that Phil is done... just my .02 cents

I really think Kobe will stay in LA. If he doesnt, I will be surprised. I also think Iverson will be a Laker next year.

Congrats Detroit!
.
AI won't be going to the Lakers. T-Mac is said to be considering the Spurs or the Lakers. Both teams are going to pursue him before anyone else. I hope he signs with the Spurs.
Who would you rather have T-Mac or AI?;)

I'm not much of a b-ball fan, but Im sure glad that those Lakers got embarrased.

I would much rather have T-Mac. T-Mac and Shaq are real good friends and I think they would work well together. I think the big question is will Phil Jackson be back next year?

as much as id like to see a texas team win it every year, i dont think i would want all the ego's and what not that LA had, i found that to be the biggest problem w/ their team. the spurs won the way they were, because they were coached well, and played tough. so i dont think i would want to see the "Lakers" team wearing a "Spurs" uniform. it would be the same problem. a lopsided game and wouldnt be all that interesting to watch.

As far as friends(and poker) are concerned with T-Mac. I'll see your Shaq and raise you a Tim Duncan.:D

Alright, I will see you Duncan, and raise you the bright lights of LA and the fame of being a Laker. :)

I am looking forward to some changes for the Lakers. I hope Kobe sticks around, but if not, I am sure they will find a suitable replacement for him. I am not too concerned about losing Phil Jackson, there are many quality coaches out there who would love to take over the Lakers. I like some of the youngers players like Medvedinko, Rush, and Walton. Going to be an interesting summer.

Did anyone see Aretha Franklin singing the National Anthem last night? It looked like she was lipsyncing.

T-Mac = Tracy Macgrady
he is #1 for the Olrando Magic.

I personally would rather have AI than Tmac...

OK, I'll see your bright lights and fame and raise you with Honesty, Integrity, No-nonsense and Trust. How many of those can you take back from LA?:D
San Antonio IS a great NBA city. Their celebration looked a little more appreciated to me.:p David Robinson set the standard for true "greatness" IMHO.

District303aPastPlayer, I agree with you on AI and their uniform choices. He could go to either. I would personally rather have T-Mac with the Spurs though cuz they would have a greater chance of resigning Manu with him than AI. I thought Timmy D wanted T-Mac, too.
Manu is set on returning to the Spurs and AI would fit less into the system vs. T-Mac.
AI had some greedy moments recently, right?
Many in SA believes Manu is the future of the Spurs. He's a future superstar for sure. I just hope they resign him first.

Showtime33

The reason the celebration might have looked like it was appreciated more in SA is because its NBA titles for the Spurs are not as common from them as they are for the Lakers. ;)
