i wanna know what makes saying "under God" so unconstitutional. if the child or whomever is so against God or there being any existance of any kind of God, then they can simply omit that part of the pledge. its just that simple.

I remember when this first was reported. This guy is a real looney. Don't you love it when someone gets their "pantys in a wad" and then tries to trample over everyone elses rights because they're offended or have an issue? I'm sure he is "the best dad" and knows what's best for the whole country.

Well, this is a good thing, but they didn't really SETTLE anything. They merely side-stepped the real issue. They should rule that it is NOT unconstitutional as other Supreme Courts have in the past. Doing it this way won't stop other suits. I personally think they need to show some grit.

BIG BLUE DEFENSIVE END

Yeah, sounds kinda like George Bush in trying to make an ammendment to ban gay marriage.

Yes BBDE,

Except that the vast majority of polls taken show an overwhelming majority of adults are dead against Gay Marriage. You know...

You can't say the same about God and the Pledge.

(PS - Was this really the place to start up the election talk? )

I agree with Sinton66... the court did nothing except defer the until someone else brings it forward.
