I can't wait for this movie to get here. I think Billy Bob will be great as coach Gaines.

I saw the Chronicles of Riddick Sat and they showed the preview for Friday Night Lights. Looks like it will be a good movie.

haji-vision is when Semaj Udhahey goes to the movies and records it on his Video Camera, and then sells copies to our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan .:D

I have never read the book, but I know it is set in Odessa and is based on MOJO football (Odessa Permian Panthers).

You guys don't know what you are missing if you have not read the book. RM, YOU definatley need to read it. I would not let the Summer get away without reading the book. I am sure you will enjoy the movie more if you do.

Does anyone know when the movie will be in theaters?

My husband and son have both read it and said it was good. Another great one if you love high school football is "Bleachers." It was just released last fall.

The book was good, but the movie was great, you just cant get the full effect of football on paper. i saw alot of guys coming out of the theater with watery eyes, I admit it choked me up. If youve never played you'll NEVER get it. If you love the game as much as I do it will get to you. Go see it
