Legendary performer Ray Charles passed away today. You were a great performer, Ray, and you will be missed.

Saw him live at the Shrine Auditorum in Los Angeles in 1964. I took a gal I was real keen on, and blew a week's pay. He had them dancing in the aisle with "Tell Me What'd I Say". What a great talent. Slow dancing to "Georgia" or "You Don't Know Me" were some great moments for a high school kid.:(

His rendition of "America, The Beautiful" is one of the greatest and more moving performances of this song in sports and American History.

They don't!! My dog got tangled up in them when I had them on and the wire was hanging down. The doorbell rang and she took off like a shot and got caught up in...ripped the darn thing in two.

But hey...I DO have speakers...I will check it out!

I remember 99.9% of those songs.Ray Charles had a voice and style all his on.He could take a simple song and make it a classic.
He was one of the best of the best.:thumbsup:
