Jasper gets State Title

Jasper Twisters Win State Title

- The Jasper Twisters competed in the
Chevy South State Championship at
Bear Creek Park in Houston on
Saturday and Sunday, and came out
with a state title in the 11 and under
league.

The team of all girls competed against
Bastrop Lady Arsenals, Val Verde
Lone Star Blazers, and Sugarland
Lightning to win the title. Coming out
ahead against Bastrop, with a score of
6 to 1, the Twisters went on to play Val
Verde, and came out with a win, 3 to 0.
On Sunday the Twisters played
Sugarland and beat them with a score
of 2 to 1.

The Twisters were also the Chevy Cup
District Champs in the 11 and under
league which competed on May 16.
The team?s coaches were Robbie
Lovett, and Kevin Dutton.

I am pretty sure I saw a Jasper soccer team article somewhere once...so yeah I think they have boy's soccer team for sure..just not sure about girl's team or not.

I saw some girls playing soccer on the high school football field once. It was at night and the lights were on. I assumed they had a highschool team but never heard anything about it.
