I know it is late in the day to post this and I know we were distracted with baseball playoffs and softball state tournament and with the death of President Reagan but let's not forget to pause for a moment (I know some of you already have) in honor of the servicemen and women that fought and those that died for us in that invasion 60 years ago. Thank you Service Men and Women.

A special thanks to my uncle, deceased several years ago, who participated in D-Day. He was in the navy and on a ship in the channel. They spotted a train on shore and managed to shoot it off its tracks!

I want to say thanks to all the soldiers who participated on the mission that day for preserving my freedom.
