Softball question

Does anyone know if Monahans is playing right now??

If I am reading the UIL bracket right, it looks like they should have started at 8:30 this morning!!

Also, knowing next to nothing about softball...at this point, do they still have the choice of a 3 game series or is it just one??

Ranger Mom at state it is one semi-finals game for each of the four teams then one state championship game for the two winners. During the other playoffs in softball I think they can play a 3 game series but nearly all the coaches prefer one game playoffs or so it seems but I think they do have the 3 game option even though it is rare that you see it.

There are lots of games to be played on one field at the state level with all classifications so they have to start early. You have the option of playing best of 3 until the state level. If you have one really strong pitcher most want to play one game but if you are lucky enough to have 2 strong pitchers you don't mind playing best of 3. Most 3A and lower are lucky to have one really good pitcher.
