Who will be the hc at Rice Consol this year? Will they move someone up or bring in someone new or has this already been decided?

The last I heard was they wanted to bring someone up from within. This way they can keep the same program going. As of right now, a decision hasn't been made. Coach Roark did an excellant job, and his shoes will be hard to fill. He will be truly missed by all.

What ended up happening with Roark? Did he ever get his day in court?

I think he got fined and probation but has to stay out of teaching and coaching for a year so it was not a lifetime suspension. I wonder if he will be back at Rice C. next year.

Just found out that Brad Dumont, defensive coordinator was named the new AD at Rice.

Does that mean that they are looking for a new Basketball head coach? The most interesting part of Roark's probation is that he must work 30 days community service every summer for the next five years at a Boys and Girls Club. The rub is......THIS BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB IS IN WHARTON!!:thinking:

I'm sure that Dumont will continue coaching basketball. But that's just my opinion.

If he is head basketball and AD, then who will be head football?

Dumont will be the Head Football and not coach Basketball. They are hiring one.
