I was sent this E-Mail a few weeks ago capturing the lightning storm we had Friday, April 30th. You know, the night that woke us all up because of the thunder, and the TV people said it wouldn't rain that night, lol?? I thought it was pretty cool and that i'd sure it.

This photo was taken at the Airport in Nederland, you'll see the Nederland Bulldog watertower..

lol ya'll should have seen it that night.. I have lived here in SETX my entire life, and i've never seen such an awesome display of mother nature. We very rarely get such a great show. It started like that nonstop at about 11:15pm and didn't stop until well after 3AM - Which is when I got home that morning from a night-o-fun, lol. That's one of those nights you wish you could have your video camera out, and just leave it recording. You'll be guarenteed to catch several strikes on that camera, and within seconds of each other as well! Those strikes like that one seen happened about once every 15-45 seconds. All I can say....Awesome Show!

How boring is that?

Is it just me, or does it seem like the lightening is going from the cloud to the ground?

I was up there 4 or 5 years ago for about 5 days and saw a thunderstorm or two AND did see some lightning. That was in July, though after ya'll break out of the cloudy doldrums.
