A grandslam given early in the game decided the GR vs. Castleberry game.

Castleberry was up early, 8-2, but when it was 8 to 3, dont remember what inning, Junior DH Jimmy Aguilar cranked a grand slam to put us down 8-7. Going into the 7th, Castleberry lead 10-9 but glen rose rallied and with 1 out were up 11-10 until Senior first baseman Travis O'Quinn hit a triple bringing home 3 to take the lead 14-10. In the bottom of the 7th CHS kept it close fighting back to within one off a wild pitch but Junior relief Zach Schmitt struck out the final batter soon hereafter to give glen rose the win.

According to one of the local tv stations in the first game Sinton beat Hidalgo 2 - 0 and also Falfurrias beat Pharr 5 to 2.

Local NBC reported the Sinton Pirates winning 2-0 over Hidalgo in the valley. The game was reported to be 0-0 in the 6th.
This is the best of three so game two is at home(Robstown?) tommorow. Good job Pirates!

No problem who gets the information to everyone first Sintonfan as long as it gets to them. They are supposed to play in Robstown tomorrow at 5 at Aviator Stadium.

I noticed where Perryton beat Lubbock Cooper in their first game with game two today in Amarillo.
That could be a huge upset if Perryton defeats Cooper today and advances to the next round.

The Forney/Gladewater game would have been a great game to see as Forney edged Gladewater 3-2 in extra innings.

According to the UIL game 2 is at 3:00 with a game following if neccessary.
