Congrats to Forney. Looks like it was closer than some people thought.

Forney vs. Gladewater. One game either Rockwall or Tyler. Friday or Saturday.
Forney lost the coin flip again. This one may be tougher than the Carthage game. I hear the pitcher for Gladewater is the real deal.

So if both coaches disagree on a best two out of three or one game series, does it always come down to a coin flip?

i was under the impression that if one coach wanted a series then they had to have a series...i thought they had to both agree on having a one game series...

well...that has changed then...i know when the schools began having the three game series it was that if one coach wanted the series...then they had to have the series....a flip wasn't necessary. In order for there to be a one game playoff then both coaches had to agree on it. It didnt sound fair but that was how it was. I guess they changed it...

IMHO they should always have a 3 game series. Too many flukes can occur in a "1 game winner take all" format.

I agree but if you are considered the underdog then that's what you want to happen.

True, but I still don't like it. Funny thing is though, nobody from the UIL asked my opinion... :nerd: :nerd:

flukes happen in other uil athletic events too and they just play one game....
