I wonder what Old Cardinal has to say about those Columbus Cardinals :D .

That's just the way it goes! It was a no error game for both teams. They started Angelle and he struggled giving up 4 hits in the first inning. Then it looked like the Coach was going to pull him; it was 1-0 at that point..... He did not pull him and he gave up 3 more hits and a walk before being pulled. It was 4-0, at that point when Broc Haymon came in a shut down the Columbus team but it was too late even though Haymon pitched 5 inspired innings. BC had 9 hits spread out in each inning while Columbus had a total output of 7 hits; all in those two innings. That's how the score ended up 4-2. That can happen to you in the playoffs! Best of luck to H-F and Columbus, you folks pulled it off.....

Sounds a bit like Jasper's loss to Waco Conally in game 1. That is the tough part about a one game playoff. Congrats to Columbus and Bridge City for a great season. Sorry, OC! But its hard to keep a good man down. You will find a silver lining.

Congrats Columbus on the victory. OC, that was a tough loss! I don't like those one gamers. Jasper usually comes out on the short end of those.:(
