4a 3200m- The kid from Richardson won (9:08.14) and broke the 4a record by over 2 seconds and didnt even compete in the regional meet. They had a rain delay at the reg meet and had a meeting to talk things over. His coach left the meeting early and didnt catch what time the 3200 would be re scheduled. He missed the race and won an appeal to compete at state.

yall arent getting the full story....at the rain delay of the meet they set the time that the 3200 meter run would take place....then...later on at an unscheduled meeting, the district coaches got together and decided on another time to run the race without getting with the Pierce coach. The Pierce coch had already left.....they did the right thing in letting him run

In no way is that crap, that is absolutely the right thing for the UIL to do in that situation. You don't know the whole story, it was completely out of the kids control what happened at regionals, and he was not trying to manipulate the system at all.

and its not like the kid hadnt proved already he deserved to be there he won state last year so the kid obviously has talent and just kind of got screwed at regionals

By the way....Scott Sellars from Katy Cinco Ranch in 5A high jumped 7'4". I predicted he would break the national high school record, but its 7'5 something. I still think he will do it this summer...but even if he doesnt, hes only a JUNIOR!!!
