troy hambrick was released by the Cowboys. Julius Jones is now the man.

very interesting. So, who are the back-ups?

I guess he's considered a backup since Parcells said he doesnt want to wear him out, but Richie Anderson should get some handoffs(short yrd runs?). There is also A. Cason probably on 3rd downs. Probably another guy that might get some runs is that Bickerstaff fella.

I really like Aveion Cason out of the backfield... he seems to be a halfway decent passing threat out of there...

Looks like the ol' running back by commitee approach.

Reading the Dallas Cowboy's website, Parcells had told Hambrick that he could be traded or waived, if Dallas drafted a front-line running back. No team would offer a trade for him, so he got waived. This will save Dallas about $323,000 on the salary cap. Running back Julius Jones has seemed to of caught Parcell's eye. If Jones can improve on Hambrick's 3.5 average, and he should, he could very easily rush for over a 1000 yds. Somewhere around 4.0 to 4.5, we could be talking 1200 yds or more. Rookie of the Year?

I wouldn't go that far just yet. He's got a lot to prove. I will definitely give Parcells the benefit of the doubt though. He's obviously seen something in Jones.

This is all depending on how Cason recovers from surgery. If he loses his speed, he's really no threat to anyone.

Hey Julius Jones, the opportunity is there! Parcell's has just opened the door for you. My advice, don't let him down!!
