Now for a few highlights for you Jasper fans that live out of state.
Jasper got things started in the 4th. Josey Parker led off with a double, followed by C. Ratcliff with a RBI single, followed by the DH, Will Alvis who hit a 2 run homer. Later in the inning B. Daniels scored on error. Score was 4-0 Jasper. Fairfield's Brown homered in the 5th for their only score. Jasper added 2 in the 5th and 3 in the 6th. Josey Parker was winning pitcher, went the distance, striking out 12. We will travel to Fairfield tomorrow for game 2.

Is this the same Alvis that Woodville walked someone to get to pitch to? :D I think I will remember that move the rest of my life!

Nevermind. I looked it up. I pass through there at least twice a year and still didn't remember where it was. Is that a bad sign?

The Beaumont Enterprise has a write-up in the sports section about the win. Jasper gets a win in the playoffs and they get a story... hmmmmm...
