Ennis is the number five 4A team in the area according to the Dallas Morning News...here is something else I found on their site...

Ennis
ENNIS – Most coaches fret when forced to use their No. 3 starter in the deciding game of a playoff series.

Such a situation shouldn't cause Ennis coach Kevin Kalinec much stress. That's because Ennis used a three-man rotation throughout the season, a rarity among schools in the state. Sophomore Justin Howard joined seniors Casey Navarro and Kiel Renfro in the playoff-ready rotation.

Ennis won nine of its last 10 games, allowing a total of 16 runs in that span. The only loss was to Corsicana, which Ennis beat twice during the stretch, including a 3-1 win with District 16-4A's top seed at stake.

"We're just mowing people down," Navarro said. "We can count on each other."

They also complement each other well. Renfro (7-1, 1.03 ERA, 95 Ks), the trio's lone right-hander, includes a low-90s fastball among his four-pitch repertoire. Navarro (7-2, 2.83, 96 Ks) throws almost as hard but gets most of his strikeouts with a baffling changeup. Howard (6-1, 0.67, 89) relies on a curveball that senior catcher Thomas Beckham calls "the dirtiest I've ever seen."

And the pitchers constantly compete with each other. Statistical categories represent bragging rights.

"It keeps us all on the edge of our game," Renfro said.

The Forney pitching combo of Corgan and Kendrick only gave up one hit.

I heard we have a one game playoff with Carthage next Thursday night in Tyler.
