Region I Questions...

How come Region I plays the basketball Regionals at Tech but everything else is at Odessa College?

That is going to be a crapload of traveling for Gainesville, going to Regional UIL competition, track, tennis, among other things.

I know that 5A Track Regionals were at Tech, and 4A Track Regionals were at San Angelo.
Region I has some very diverse and wide areas to cover.
Think of the El Paso schools that are in UIL and the areas they have to go to for regionals, etc.....

It also has to do with facilities. San Angelo and Tech have great track facilities. El paso does too but too far for every one. If you look at odessas location in regards to geography then its not that far from center of region I
