Definately one of the top softball matchups in the state taking place in Tomball this weekend. Some polls will tell you that this is a matchup of the #5 and #9 teams in the state, whatever the case, both of these teams are very good.

Bellville comes in playing very good ball. This young team has really matured throughout the year, and I think they're where they need to be mentally for a playoff run. The Brahmanettes have several girls who can hit very good pitching, and 9 girls who can hit above average pitching. Infield defense is the strength of this team. If they're pitchers can keep it in the zone, and make the other team hit the ball, they'll be in good shape. They don't have the pitchers who can simply take over a game and throw it by batters, but they are quite effective.

Don't know much about Barbers Hill. I've heard they have one pretty good pitcher, but haven't heard much other than that.

Should be fun, hope the rain stays away.

I think this one goes the distance, with all of them close....

I'll take Bellville in 3 games.

It ought to be a very good series. Both teams deserve their high ratings, in my opinion. BH has three good pitchers- Samantha Gonzalez, Heather Mosser, and Crystal Gonzalez; that makes them tough if the play goes to the third game. Bellville has been getting better each week and can mount a real threat against anyone. It should be some very exceptional games!

Old Card hit it on the Head BH has a good group of pitchers and their Defense is pretty good. Bellville /Knocked them out of the playoffs last year and I'm sure that they are ready for the challenge this year. It should be a good seris. Both teams are very good, if Bellville has some good pitching it will be a low scoring duel and go three games, but if Bellville Pitching isn't up to par I'll take the Eagles in 2. Goodluck to both teams
