Big game tonight. Woodville can force a playoff for 2nd place with a victory tonight. A Jasper win gives a 1) Hudson 2) Jasper 3) Woodville finish to the district.

Should be a good game. All three games have been competitive with each one better than the one before.

Go Eagles

You say "all 3 games have been competive"... I assume you mean Jasper vs Woodville? who won?

This was not a pitcher's game. It drizzled rain and all pitchers had control problems. At the end of the 2nd inning it was 7-0 Jasper by walks and an error and maybe an infield hit depending on how it was scored. Then the game was halted for rain and when it resumed, Jasper was cold and allowed 4 runs in the top of the 4th. It was 11-4 at end of 4th and in the bottom of the 5th, Jasper pushed across the 14th run to get the game on the 10 run rule. Best highlight for Jasper was Woodville electing to issue a walk to Ratcliff to load the bases. Thought they would get to the sophomore, Will Alvis, but Will promptly hit a triple and unloaded the bases. Good luck to Woodville in the playoffs.

Coach Hennigan should have known better than to choose to pitch to an Alvis! :D

Does anyone know who Jasper might be playing in the first round? The UIL site indicates that the second place team for 20-3a (apparently Jasper) will play the third place team from District 19.

Thought Woodville would play a better game. Four walks in the 1st followed by 3 - 4 errors in the second will not work against a good team.

Good luck to 20-AAA in the playoffs.

It doesn't matter who you play when those kind of things start to happen. Best of luck to Woodville as well.
