It was Jasper 13, Kirbyville 0 in 7 innings. Jasper got things started in the 2nd inning with a 2 run homer by Will Alvis. Kirbyville played a good game and it didn't have a such a big point spread until late in the game. Reagan pitched for Jasper. He is maybe the #3 pitcher. He lasted the whole game and did well.

Will Alvis... Is that David (not sure if that's his name or not) Alvis' son?

Yes it is. I think Will is a sophomore.

Is he good enough to follow the tradition and go pro?

Isn't it Max Alvis?

Max Alvis is Will's grandfather. David is Will's father.

Max Jr...I'm not sure if he lives in the area anymore. David, I had the pleasure of playing with him before I left Jasper.
If Will is anything like his father...He's a great athelete. One question though, is Will a lefty too?

If I am not mistaken, Maxer was in either Lufkin or Nacogdoches. Will is right handed I believe.
