has got to have been one of the most competitive and evenly matched series ever.

For example in the semis Sinton beat Canyon in 10 innings 4 to 3 and Lorena beat Daingerfield 4 to 3. In the championship Lorena beat Sinton 3 to 2 in eight innings. All three games decided by one point and two went into extra innings. All games could have easily gone he other may.

i thought wylie made it to the state tournament last year because they beat us in the regional finals, am i mistaken

Abilene Wylie defeated Monahans in the regional semi-final and then lost to Canyon in the regional final.

the 1999 game was awesome liberty vs. west....liberty had the lead going into the bottom of the 7th and west comes up too bat....they come to the plate and put one on and next batter goes to fence with his shot and the first run comes in and the second run comes around and the ball is thrown to home plate and liberty's catcher(who rode his own way home, and not the charter bus) tries to make a fancy catch and swing to tag out and looses the ball and the run makes it and west win's...ironically, west's h.s. baseball coach was a liberty h.s. alumni
