Don't think we can give the best, but it can be interesting knowing every freshmen team's record...

Believe our's are undefeated as well... IF not, for sure only one loss, I forget what they did against Sealy...

That's good. IT's always fun for a 3A team to beat a 5A school.

That was an objection in itself...

Bellville's Freshmen are very good. Pretty sure they've never lost a game as a group.

If I'm not mistaken, Sweetwater's Freshmen group has never lost a game (7-9th). Thats even with some playing on the JV.

Navasota's 7th grade team would give Ballinger's freshmen a good game...they are 9-0, soon to be 10-0 I'm sure...and have outscored opponents 452-36...they are something to watch in the future

If the freshman win thursday,It would be the 3rd straight Decatur team to go undefeated as Freshman.

My freshman year we were something like 1-4-1. We won the first game of the season and didn't win again. Our junior and senior years we were 23-2-1. The point is....alot can happen both positvely and negatively in 2-3 years. The teams that distinguish themselves are the ones that can improve the most between their freshman and their senior years. Good luck to all of these fine teams.

Hey Cat213, read Heck's post. Think S'water has a great team and you have played them before. What was the outcome?

That was an objection in itself...Seen as though we were talkn about the freshman, our varsity has nothing to do with anything.
NOTE: the reason why we are such a good group is because we have depth instead of a couple of a couple good players. (2 freshman went to jv and we are still undefeated from 7th to 9th grade)

To redraider:

W palyed them our 7th grade year, and lost 18-8 or something like that with a fumble on the goalline and a TD called back

against sweetwater in 7th grade out touchdown called back was b/c our qb jumped OVER a guy when he the guy was falling down and they called clipping; The fumble on the goalline if you watch the tape you will clearly see that we came up with it and the refs. just gave it to yall

Bridge City 9th grade has been quite strong in District and just took out a good Jasper team in their annual end-of-the-year shoot out 30-8. This Thursday night they will play Anahuac for the District Championship. Eighth grade is fairly strong also.

Greenwood Freshman.....oh, it was a BAD year!! I think they were 2-8 with BIG wins over Snyder and Midland Christian JV. Thank goodness the JV and 8th grade teams did well!!

When I was a freshman we went 10-0 and this year is my senior year and if we get a win on friday then we will be 10-0 so I think that your record as a freshman shows everyone of what you have the possiblity of doing in the future.

That's never good for the rest of the freshman, but that's what freshman teams are for. Build your skills and work hard and you could be brought up to varsity.

The Burnet freshmen I saw playing tonight were good. There were a number of kids with a lot of talent. They played well together as a team. They'll be ready for their time to shine when they move up.

Kennedale's freshman (if i do say so myself) are most defenately prospects in the near future. already, there are 3 freshmen playing. i "heard" that freshmen might be getting promoted nxt year. Not only is the offense great, the defense is VERY great. Honestly, when i heard we allowed 88 points, i was pretty dissapointed considering last year the defense allowed 0 points. But, 88 is a pretty low #. Most of those points were scored in the 4th quarter of the games, when the 2nd and 3rd string defenses were in. I wish good luck to all my teammates in the future. Im hoping we go for an undefeated highschool "career"
--RJ
P.S.-- 2 of the teams we played this season were not freshmen. We played godley and diamond hill's JV. ive heard word that some Jrs. were moved DOWN from varsity in hopes of winning at least 1 game against kennedale... might just be a myth, plz back me up on this.

First of all Godley and Diamond Hill's J.V. teams are not anything to bring up whaen you talk about great freshmen teams. YOu did good by sayine you hope to go undefeated in high school, just leave it at that. As far as you saying the coaches are looking to bring up more off the freshmen defense.... COME ON KID GET REAL the 3 that are on varsity dont even play. The only way they get in is if we are winning by 40 or 50. The three kids are good dont get me wrong but they are not needed. I take that back the kicker is needed. The other two were needed on J.V.

Oh yeah if you want someone to know who you are then dont give your number "50" be a man give your name. Unless you are really not that number. AS far as the Kennedale freshmen they are a great bunch of kids, they have loads of talent but that doesnet matter until it is shown on friday and saturday nights. You guys need to concentrate on making it trough offseason, and passing classes first.
