I was just informed by one of the Sinton players as I got home that this game will not be played. I don't know why or any of the details. Everyone is surprised. I will be going to the boys game and try to find out what happened since I don't want to speculate.

I found out that the game was cancelled due to an accident in Taft. I don't know the details but Taft didn't have enough players so the game is forfeited to Sinton. This puts Sinton at 9 - 1. You hate to win a game like that in these circumstances.

One of my co-workers informed me today that unfortunately two of the Taft girls didn't pass all their courses and the pitcher and catcher (both sisters) lost their grandmother who passed away. That is why Taft forfeited to Sinton. Our sympathies and prayers go out to the two players for their tragic loss.
