that's very true...you can't be a mascot if you don't like little kids...seeing the smiles on their faces when you give them a handshake or a hug was one of my favorite parts of the job.

Who do you think you are saying stuff like that? She's the only one who didn't have something more important to do than go to a camp for CHEERLEADERS over the summer. Both of the other people who planned on trying out already had places they had to be during the summer. So the other person didn't chicken out so don't even be like that.

I could be wrong, but I think he possibly senses a bit of pettyness or bitterness in your post. They are pretty tacky at best, try learning how to be supportive of everyone that puts forth the effort to be a part of the extra activities that your school offers. EVERYONE THAT PARTICIPATES PLAYS AN IMPORTANT PART IN THE SUCCESS OF YOUR ATHLETIC OR BAND PROGRAMS.

Oh don't get me wrong...i'm not bitter at all. It was a choice that had to be made even though it was a tough one that i didn't not want to make. I am very supportive of everyone at our school, that's why i wanted to try out in the first place. What upsets me is that people are drawing conclusions about something they don't know anything about and are insulting me in doing so.

20dawgzo5, once again, congratulations. Im always happy to see someone put out the extra effort that is necessary to take part in activities at school, regardless of what the activity is. Ive had a number of friends over the years that have had the opportunity to become "Barney the Bulldog" and every one of them has said that it was a really worth while and fun experience. We are all proud of you and I know you will do a great job. PREPARE TO RUN WITH THE BIG DOGS! (And have fun) :) :) :) :)
