Raiders Sign Chris Cole

The Raiders have signed WR Chris Cole.
The Oakland Raiders have signed free agent wide receiver Chris Cole. The 6-0, 195-pound Cole has played in 35 league games with two starts in three seasons with the Denver Broncos.
Last year, Cole played in 11 league games for Denver catching three passes for 36 yards and returning 30 kickoffs for 714 yards. During his three NFL seasons, Cole has caught 12 passes for 164 yards, returned 89 kickoffs for 2,105 yards to average 23.7 per return and made 17 tackles on special teams.
In 2001, Cole ranked 3rd in the AFC and tied for 10th in the NFL in kick return average (23.5) returning 48 kicks for 1,127 yards.
Cole originally entered the NFL as a third round pick by Denver in 2000 out of Texas A&M where he caught 89 passes for 1,383 yards and eight touchdowns.
The Orange, Texas native played at West Orange-Stark High lettering in football and track where he qualified for the state track meet in the long jump and triple jump.
