May 14-15 State track and field meet.

I will be there, seeing as how I already live in Austin.

nah...i didnt go last year for the first time in 7 or 8 years. I dont think I will make it this year. I will, however, be at the NCAA Nationals which are also in Austin in June. Gotta see DaBryan run against the best!

I think we are going......how hard is it to get a hotel reservation, should we go ahead and get one now??

Just me and him....NO KIDS....this will be like the honeymoon we never did have!!! We've never gone ANYWHERE out of town without at least one of them!!

i would say get a reservation now...i would recommend the Omni. stayed at both austin omnis and they are great! is this your first state meet?

It will be my first.

My husband has been to it four times, but it's been a while, not since we got married anyway!!

He has always said how much he'd like to go back though!!

I haven't been to Austin since I was 18....many moons ago!!:D

You will have such a great time....its unlike any other track meet. You see the best of the best of Texas. Tell Ranger Dad i said congrats on getting to go again. If you havent been to Austin in that long, do yourself a favor and go downtown one nite. Also, eat at The Hula Hut. One of the best casual places to eat in Austin. I really hope you have a great time, and with no kids and the honeymoon you never had, I seriously doubt that will be a problem.
