Well i haven't really seen Caldwell play, but Rockdale on the other hand is a pretty good all around team. I think Rockdale's passing game is goin to be a factor b/c they have a good QB who knows how to scramble.

Rockdale comes off a tough loss to marlin, Caldwell comes a loss to cameron. Rockdale wins by 14, ........Caldwell is striving off of hype right now.

You dig the above comments, Caldwell? This is the kind of respect you get from losers when you play "gentleman" football. Instead boo-hooing about respecting Rockdale, read these smart-a$$ comments and play paddy-cake on Friday and see what happens!

Rockdale by 10. Winner goes to the playoffs, the loser stays home.

This is an important game for 18-3A...winner gets inside track to the playoffs...loser prolly will be home during Week 11...Yoe will keep an eye on this one...if Caldwell wins Yoe gets to go to D-1 if Rockdale wins then Yoe is D-2...if I was a fan of Yoe I'd be cheering for Caldwell..

I don't know why Yoe would want that...D2 would be a bit easier at first than D1 for Yoe....Yoe would have a longer run in the playoffs in D2 than D1....Yoe goes D1 then they play prolly Gatesville then Jasper...Yoe goes D2 then they get Hillsboro or Chins Spring or Robinson then if they win that they get Fairfield or Kirbyville..if you ask me D2 for Yoe is MUCH easier than D1

If Caldwell wins over R'dale and then wins two of three vs. Lorena, Marlin and Troy, they make Div. 1 and likely play Gatesville which should make Cameron happy. If Caldwell loses, then Cameron (not YOE - it's a guy's name) is Division I and plays Gatesville and already lost to them once, 21-6.
Obviously, no one realizes the stats from the Cameron-Caldwell game were nearly identical and Caldwell trailed 15-14 with 3:30 left when the Hornets folded and starting tossing interceptions and bobbling fumbles to literally GIVE Cameron 20 points. That was the closest 21-point loss I'll ever see in my life so don't disrespect Caldwell THAT much. I was disappointed myself but Cameron should have won maybe 28-21 if you negate turnovers and the TD pass that Caldwell should have caught in the first period.

That is what I am saying...Cameron Yoe would rather haver Caldwell win....I'd rather face Hillsboro/China Spring/Robinson and then prolly Kirbyville/Fairfield...then have to face Gatesville (who already beat em earlier) then Jasper...Cameron Yoe has a MUCH better shot at a longer run in D2 than D1

Well, actually Fairfield is better than Gatesville this year so I'd have to debate that one.

Chris Hart

Gatesville would demolish Fairfield. Cameron will fare much better in div.2 no doubt.

Oh, I get it! Since Burnet beat Gatesville by less than 100 points, then there's just no question that Gatesville would demolish anyone else in the state of Texas. You obviously don't study teams more than 70 miles from Oatmeal.

I agree HornetPride, I can't believe we didn't beat Gatesville by more than 100 points. We must have overlooked them, you think?

It was intended to be a joke Amos Moses. Gatesville and Marlin are quality teams. Perhaps I should have clarified, no harm meant.

well i think the whole state has overlooked marlin.if any game was a fluke it was the university game. but since everone is talking about whose going where how far do u think will go

Marlin Bulldog, the proper teminology is how far do you think "we'll" go or we will go. I would say that grammatically speaking you should do well in district and then lose the first round of the playoffs because you will all be ineligible due to failing Remedial English. A lot of you in Marlin and Cameron should learn to actually write words out instead of replacing them with letters or numbers, like 4U and R U, and your grammar may actually improve by a factor of ten.

bviking if your name speaks for Bryan Vikings don't even start running your mouth 3,000 plus students and you can't find 22 boys good enough to win a game. Maybe you need to bring back Merrill Green.
