I understand that District 3-3A meet is in Snyder this next wednesday and Saturday.

Snyder Has the Top Time in the reigon I in the 4x200 with a Time of 1:29.25
Snyder ran a 42.9 in the 4x100 last week in Brownwood. Have not seen a faster time out of region I yet.
The Boyd kid ran a 49.5 in the 400 meters. (one of the fastest in the state in any region so far.)
two kids in the Long Jump , one at 21 ft and one at 21.5 ft
High Jumper who has gone 6'6"
100 meters kid ran a 11.12
200 meters 22.8
300 meters two kids , one at 40.6 I think and the other at 41.5
110 hurdles a kid ran 15.5
A discus thrower over 150'

all in all very tough. could be a contender with thos preformances in Austin.

The District 21 Meet is the 12th and 15th at Bridge City. The one person that stands out in my mind as a state qualifier is Michael Gauthier of Bridge City in the 100m. He was the state runner-up last year and has consistanly ran in the 10.7 range this year. He also runs in the low 22 range in the 200M. Also Aaron Branner from BC in the 1600 and 3200. He's ran 4:38 and 10:01 respectivly. Micheal Goeddertz in the 800 has a chance too. He's ran a 2:01. I'll post results on here as I get them.

Micheal Goeddertz ran a 1.59.57 800m at the LC-M meet. BC also had a shot guy that would most probably been a state qualifier, he was throwing well over 50'.

You guys need to check out Region II. Most of those times wouldn't even make the finals, or medal at Commerce.

good call etcoach....the majority of sprints and relay winners come from region 2, and the majority of overall winners do to. Just more proof that region 2 is the best!

District 28-3A is in Sweeny next Thursday and Friday.
Bryce Allen of Wharton, the defending state 400m champ, has posted a 48.8 so far.
The Wharton guys 4x400m relay have posted a 3:20.15
Garrett O'Neal of Edna in the 110 hurdles has a 13.99.
There are a few other regional and state contenders but these are the ones that stick out.

District 5 will have some state qualifiers out of Graham, Vernon, Iowa Park and maybe even one or two from Bowie.

We'll have to wait and see on the times, but Graham has a heck of a 4x100 team.

Well i threw 167 again at the Kirbyville meet i have no clue why i couldnt keep all but 1 throw in the ring. Maybe because theyr lines where 10 feet off on the right an left sides it was something horrible guys... I threw also 49 in shot won both 1st in shot an disc. I pretty much have 1st in the bag as far as district in district an shot but im not over looking anyone district meet is in Diboll wends an thurs.

Newton ran a 39.02 or in the 4X100 relay awesome? They smoked san augustine which was a distant second.

Bryce Allen from Wharton is getting recruited heavily from D-1 schools in track. This young man can really motor. He has scored a ton of points for Wharton track team. Long jump 21 and 22 feet. triple jump around 47 or 48 feet. Automatic first in 400 meters. Runs in the relays. Wish he would have been used more in football. Coach should have thrown downfield at least 3 or 4 times a game during season. When district started coach got a little conservative and just about stop throwing to Bryce all together. It truly was amazing watching this kid blow by people streaking down the sideline. He has the look of a track runner , lean , zero body fat, blade runner.

If that is a true time, it is much more than just awesome. It is probably the all time national high school record. Why have we not heard of these guys before?

Milton Wesley
Montie Clopton
Michael Franklin
DeMario Wesley
Fort Worth O. D. Wyatt
1998 NR
This result is from texastrack.com in the high school section.
The NR stands for National Record.
Not only would they have the state record for more than half a second but would also have the national record. That's hard to believe.

District 5-has Graham who should qualify for state in the 400mRelay and the 800mRelay., They also have two 200mDash runners who have a very good chance of making state.

District 5 aslo has three 800m runners ranked in the top 5 of region 1.
Vernon has a mile relay time who should do very well in the region. They beat Iowa Park who qualified for state last year.

Well, I doubt it also, but if they did, they will be FAMOUS! Especially if they can repeat it at state. But district is this week. We will get a chance to see what they can do there.

Now that is believable, but I would not say that 43.02 would be smoking anybody. And I doubt that that time will win district. We will know in a few days. :)

39.02 is obviously a mistake. That simply ain't happenin at the high school level. 39.76 is state and national record. Fort Worth Wyatt. Demario Wesley anchoring. The most perfect sprint relay I have ever seen by a high school group.

In 1991 the records were still recorded at the hand-held times. The hand time was 39.9 and therefore they were recognized as being the first high school team to ever go under 40 seconds. At the time, the automatic time was reported at 40.07. Evidently, the records are now recorded under the automatic times. That is the reason for the apparent discrepancy.

Yes it is. I expect that it is still a top 10 time nationally. And the team that finished second behind Jasper ran a 40.2 manual time so they were not exactly standing still. I think it was Dallas South Oak Cliff, if not, then it was Austin Reagan. Jasper and those two teams were running neck and neck for the team championship, with Jasper pulling it out at the end by winning both relays. That was one thrilling track meet! :)

Talk about smokin in the 4x100 relay Ivory williams from Beaumont Central high School. He is a senior this year but two years ago at USATF competition he was on a team that ran a 38.92.
