Does Snyder have any good Shot Putters this year? They have had some good ones in the past.

Snyder does have some impressive times.
The Snyder relay times have been incredible but
you will notice that Wylie and Sweetwater are
right behind them. Hopefully this will make for
a great race at Regionals.
Wylie also won the Brownwood meet, defeating Everman,Snyder and Sweetwater.

What is Snyder returning this year as far as football goes??

I am trying to look forward to the season, but do so with a sense of foreboding. We are graduating the house this year, I have no clue what he have (or don't have) coming up!

I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see a few Freshman pulled up. (We had a very strong 8th grade team)!

Wylie also won the Brownwood meet, defeating Everman,Snyder and Sweetwater. True Wylie did win the meet.. the first time wylie beat snyder in a meet this year or of 3 meetings. Wylie got alot of 3rds and 4ths ect.. Snyder mainly had 1sts .. In a regional meet with increased competition those 3rds and 4ths tend to disapear because of stiffer competition.. Wylie will do well at Regional but not as well as Sweetwater Snyder and Everman because thier times are not as good at the top.

oh well

Snyder Will be a little stronger I believe this year. they lost a good tail back and a few other good players but will be accented by probably the strongest JV snyder has ever had from Last year. The JV last year went 9-1 blowing out every district opponent. they should be tough. I hear this is the Year for snyder.

Here are Grahams track teasm times 4by1 42.6 4by2 1.30 and alot of other good athletes. Also they havnt even had anybody close to them in any of those relays. 2 kids run 21.9 in 200. We have Long Jumper that has jumped 21'9 and 41 in the triple jump. We have a hurdler that has a 14.9 in the 110 hurdles and a 40.5 in the 300. We have a high jumper that has cleared 6'3 and a discus man that has thrown 150'. We have two pole vaulters that have cleared 13'0 and one that has cleared 13'6. The 4x200 relay can run alot faster but has not been pushed all season long, their time will drop i guarentee it. The 200m kids also can easily run a 49.0 in the 400m they just don't b/c of the relays. They both ran 21.7 last year and will be faster in the upcoming meets. It will be fun to see who comes out of the Region as Region champs. Interesting teams in sweetwater and snyder. Good luck.

snyder has some great runners. when we played them in football i didnt know that snyder's players were great athletes like that. after watching them in the west texas relays in odessa i saw exactly how great their athletes were. monahans also has a decent track team. i believe they beat snyder and wylie in odessa, but that was on timed finals. anyway snder does have a great track team and should do well at regionals

Region 1 is going to be very competetive this year. There are a lot of teams that are capable of bringing home the championship. The main thing is to get points from the relay team. Sweetwater won last year with some where in the low 60's (total points).
They will more than likely win the Mile relay, they have some cats that can scoot in the quarter. The 4x200 is going to be a very exciting race. I am familar with all the teams in the region (relay wise) except for snyder. They have the fastest 4x200 with a 1:29, and Graham has the fastest 4x100 with a 42.6 and Sweetwater has run a 3:24 in the 4x400.
The key to the championship will be the field events and which team has more success in the field events with relay points will have a great shot at the region 1 Championshiop. Five teams could win Snyder,Sweetwater, Wylie, Graham, and Everman. Good luck to everyone and good luck in District.

Graham will send the sprint relays to the region and probably to state. They are so dang quick. The easily dominated the three other teams that were at the Vernon meet. They have great sprinters.

Vernon has a quick guy in the 800 and IP has a fast 400 runner in Swenson.

Vernon has good pole vaulters and two guys that run a 40 sec. 300 hurdles.

I don't know too much about Bowie other than some IP guys said they also had some quick sprinters.

Bubba Chuck will have to let us know after their meet over there. No matter, there will be some state qualifiers out of our district.

Hey Z Motion do you know what Vernon and Iowa Park's Mile Relay times. We put together one in Bowie with field event guys and barely lost to bowie. I want to know if they have a chance to go regionals. However, at the meet in Bowie on Thursday the sprint relay ran a season best 42.4 and their 4x200 relay ran a 1:30 without their their third leg (injury). The discus thrower threw a 157' and our shot putter threw 48'. Our jumpers jumped well, 13'6 pole vaulter, we long jumped 21'9 and TJ 41'8. Our high jumper high jumped 6'2. We will not have the same relay teams for district but they will all be their for regionals.

I think you guys have a shot at winning the region in track. Those sprint relays are so fast and like you said they haven't even been challenged by anyone yet. They will get even faster.

I'll be at teh track meet but I have no idea whether my son will run teh hurdles or not. He injured his hamstring right of of basketball and I'm not sure if he is healed up. He may run in one of the relays, but I don't really know if he stands a chance to go on to regionals on the relay team. Graham should wipe up everyone and I don't know about Bowie, Breckenridge or Childress. We beat IP pretty soundly but with those dang handoffs who knows?
