Former forney sprinter wins 400 meters at UTEP meet. At the beginning of htis month Dabryan was the NCAA Indoor 60 meter champion....it suprised me that he ran the 400 this week....he did though win a silver at the State Meet his Freshman year in the 400.....

i bet they are trying to get his legs ready for the 100....its a big change going from the 60 to the 100 and i bet they are working on his endurance

wow...winning a race by a good couple seconds is impressive! Doesn't look like he's having too many endurance problems to me!

though that seems like a fast time....that would have ranked him 132nd in NCAA Outdoor last year in the 400.....hes just running it to work on endurance....and he didnt win it by 2 seconds....thats the 6th place time listed beside his...those are only OU people....

1 Blanton, DaBryan Oklahoma 47.48 2 10
2 Kelly, Bryan Texas A&M 47.58 2 8
3 Stewart, Matt Texas Tech 47.98 2 6
4 Phillips, David Texas A&M 48.02 2 4
5 Jackson, Rashawn New Mexico 49.15 1 2
6 Duhaney, Dwayne Oklahoma 49.44 2 1
7 Lira, Eric Texas El Paso 49.95 1
8 McCain, Randle New Mexico 50.43 1
9 Caballero, Brandon Texas A&M 50.78 1
10 Rimmer, Rhett Texas Tech 51.13 2
11 Burgener, Isaac New Mexico 51.34 1
12 Ashdown, Gilbert Texas El Paso 54.97 1

and if im not mistaken....i think the second place finisher, Bryan Kelly, is from Emory Rains....

Bryan Kelly is the same guy that beat DaBryan in the 400 at state Blanton's freshman year. I think Kelly was a senior though. As a matter of fact...thats about the same time Kelly ran while in high school. Guess its good enough to pay for his schooling though!
