Last week:
Jasper Bulldogs 13, Lufkin Central 3
Jasper 2, Lufkin Hudson 4
Last night (Mar 23) it was Jasper 8, Diboll 0.
Winning pitcher was Josey Parker over Central and Diboll.
Keaton Yeates pitched good enough to win but bats went cold and he did not get a lot of help against Hudson according to Jasper Newsboy's article.

How about Jasper's softball district scores? Do you think you can get those for me? I'm keeping up with as many district races as I can and I don't have any of their scores. I would appreciate that information if you can get it...

Thanks,
18

What is Jasper's record now? Is Hudson the first 3A team to beat Jasper this year?

Keaton Yeates struck out 14 Huntington batters in 5 innings for the 11-0 no hitter, walked 4 (all left stranded). Game ended due to the 10 run rule. Weather was great at the old ball park tonight.

I don't know how many games Jasper has played, but they have only 3 losses. They lost twice to state ranked 4A Little Cypress-Mauriceville and beat them once. They have one loss in district to Lufkin Hudson.

I saw that those victories included a tournament win at Shreveport over purportedly some of the best 5a teams in Louisiana. But, I have no idea how good the Louisiana teams are.

Jasper lost to Lufkin Hudson in district.

As far as I know, there are 3 schools in Lufkin, 3a's Hudson and Central, and 5a Lufkin High School.

ok...game must be over..radio station is now playing music instead of carrying the game. I would assume Jasper won by the 10 run rule. Anyone know for sure?

The final score was 16-2, Jasper over Newton. The game may have started earlier than usual. Josey Parker got credit as the winning pitcher, but Jason Reagan finished the game.

Way to go Dogs! :)

What is Newton's record? I have not heard much about them this year.

Lufkin-Hudson is 3A and is located outside of Lufkin a few miles. The school district is Hudson. Pollock-Central is another 3A located outside of Lufkin but probably a few miles more than Lufkin-Hudson and in the Pollock-Central school district. So actually only 1 high school in Lufkin, but Hudson and Central are close enough that people consider them Lufkin.
