Sweetwater had their roundup last weekend. I think Stephenville and Brownwood have them also. Where else?

i was in gatesville a few weeks ago, and thats about as hick as it gets, and on the bulletin board in a restaurant we were eating at, there was a sign for a 'varment hunt' $25 to enter, highest gross weight of whatever you kill wins, lol..

Freer does have one every year. Me and a group of friends use to make the trip down there every year, but we are all married and have kids now so those days are numbered, although we have talked about a guys weekend to Freer maybe in the next couple of years. There usually are good concerts there. I'm not sure who is there this year, but it's always a good country singer. I think it's always the last weekend in April. Both my parents went to school at Freer, so that's how I know about the Rattlesnake Roundup. We always have a good time, so I would suggest going to those in that area.

Speaking of rattlesnakes, my husband and I killed two yesterday and missed killing a five footer. Ran out of bullets, and the snake went in the brush. It was 86 degrees here yesterday, so the snakes are moving.

My mother grew up in glenn rose ! She use to tell us about the rattle snake round up.
