Oklahoma whipping Texas

tonight in the final big 12 tournament championship in women's basketball. Texas is losing to a team they had already beat twice during the season so it goes to show that it is tough to beat the same team three times in a season especially a good one. It is a surprise in a way because Texas is basically the same team that last year just barely lost being national champions. This Texas team has won had several close games the past several games and has not really played like they are capable. Hopefully this loss will be a wake up call and they will get fired up and play like they are capable and maybe make another run. The good thing is they only have one senior on the squad this year.

My Liberty University girls basketball team just won their 8th straight conference tournament. They were led by 6'8 jr. Katie Feenstra who is one of the best players in the country.

It is a final as Oklahoma women beat Texas 66 to 47. A real high for OK and a real whipping on Texas. Both teams are sure to be in the NCAA women's tournament with Texas still probably being a one seed team. But OK will have moved up. OK is on a high and they may be so thrilled at beating Texas they may be in danger of losing on the road and their coach may not be able to do anything about it or they may be confident and play great. We will see. I still thing Texas can be a top team if they use this as a wakeup call and start playing like they are capable. It is possible this loss could be a blessing in disguise or else they may not have it together this year. We will see.
