Congrats to Kountze and to all the teams that made it to state. I guess there is no doubt that Kountze was the best team in 3A this year. How would you rank them in all classifications? I will make a bold statement and say they are in the top 5 of all classifications in the state. Remember they lost to 5A #1 Milby by 13. What are your thoughts on Kountze?

they are good but i dont think there in the top 5 of all classifications..milby cedar hill jones linconln segoville then kountze hows #6 lol not taking away from them there the best in 3a they have proved thta congrats

I got to see this game. Greenwood has some great fans. They were cheering until the final buzzer. Kountze is very athletic and talented. Most of their scoring came from 2 players. They are very good, but sometimes seem to play out of control. They don't really have alot of height, so this could hurt them against the taller teams.

I was really amazed that Greenwood and West OSO played them to around a 20 point loss. I would have figured it would have approached 30 points....In my opinion Barbers Hill was the second best team in 3A!

this was a sweet victory for Kountze, since they will be dropping to 2A next year. Hopefully, they will be back next year. But they are losing key people to graduation.

While that is your opinion and you're allowed to make it, I can honestly say that I know several 1A and 2A teams that would beat the bejesus out of Barbers Hill.

And yes, Kountze is, of course, the early favorite to win it all next year in 2A. Although, I'd love to seem them play Shallowater.

I respectfully disagree--Barbers Hill and several others from Region III did a better job than Oso or Greenwood against that level of competition....
