3a vs 5a

Wills Point plays a 5a school in week 3 I believe, can't remember the name though... That's a trip, we never play 5a schools! Just wondering, does anyone else have any 5a schools in their schedules? That's the point of this post, hoping were not alone!

I think you're talking about Dallas Wilson, who is 4A. But, I dont see where it matters, I doubt that you'll have much trouble with them. Consider it a good warm up before district starts.

Zapata Hawks play 5A Laredo teams in their non-district schedule.

Commerce played Dallas North Dallas when they were 5A for a 2 year series, but they were pretty weak at the time. I think they have dropped to 4A now.

Sealy used to scrimmage some of the lower echelon HISD 5A schools like Bellaire while TJ was the coach. Usually held our own in the scrimmages, but I am not sure if we would have won under game conditions where depth and size end up making a difference. We still scrimmage Strake Jesuit and usually get pretty banged up physically 'cause they are quite a bit bigger than our little ol' country boys.

It is very rare that you see teams play 2 classes up or down...it does happen but not much..next week Everman plays Lawton, OK Eisenhower who is 6A in Oklahoma which is equal to Texas 5A..I believe for a while Zapata had 3A enrollment but played in a 5A district due to travel..
