There are a couple of restaraunts in Sinton that serve a tortilla burger. It's similar to a regular hamburger except that it's served between two flour tortillas instead of bread or buns. You can get them with all your favorite fixings. SinFan75 and I prefer them with jalapenos and cheese. They really are quite good.

Well, you can "wrap" them like a taco if you have to, but if you hold them right and you're careful, they work pretty well. P.S., chack your PM's.

Japalenos (Yes, that's how it's spelled) in Victoria serves a mean Tortilla-Burger...

They use a big (okay, NOT huge, but big) home-made tortill with half of a big hamurger patty (so that it fits better) and you use whatever you want with it... I usually use some quacamole and salsa with some onions, VERY good!

Wow, Dairy Queen's doing it now? That's cool. The original was from Tasty Taco in Sinton, and was picked up by a couple more in town. The best one I've had is at Little Mexico in Sinton. Dang, 75, you shoulda got the patent! Little Mexico uses homemade tortillas too, they are better that way. I've tried making them at home, and it just isn't the same on store bought tortillas. However, the HEB ones are pretty good.

I love me a good tortilla burger. It's true that the tortilla has to be home made. They are not the same if they are not. I sure do miss them up here in Austin.

Hey Sinton 66! You need to buy the tortillas from the Sinton bakery if you want to make the tortilla burgers at home. The tortillas are much better than HEB!!

I know, unfortunately because of the time I spend up here, that's a loooong drive from Magnolia! wink :D The HEB's that have the in-store bakery have some pretty good tortillas, though.

juuuuuuuuuuuuust so everyone knows, Tasty Taco has a patent, i believe, on both the tortilla burger, and the super roll.
But I, Aaron, Have come to the rescue. here is how to make each of them.
Tortilla burger: Replace buns with tortillas, add beans to one side... fix like a burger.

Super Roll: Tortilla, Carne Guisada, Beans, Bacon, Jalapenos.

mmmmmmm-mmmmmmm, now isnt everyone hungry?

Daannnggggg!
I always loved the Super Taco from Casa Linda(that's in Mathis, please don't berate me you from Sinton wink )
Huhhuhhuhhu, a Super Roll sounds really good right now!
Of course the homemade are thicker and make it easier to have the true 'Tortilla Burger' experience...
Make mine double jalapenos! Nothing taste right after you get used to the mild flavor of jalapenos. I swear it's an addiction! http://images.bravenet.com/brpics/smilie/17_wink.gif
