And i'm hoping that we get Yoakum in the 3rd round. Payback game from 2001 when Yoakum beat us 10-0, BUT, Liberty Hill just beat Yoakum.

Should be a GREAT game next week.

Just verified a final score.....

Port Isabel 37
Hondo 20

Hondo scored 2 late touchdowns on Port Isabel's J.V. defense before the final whistle.

Great game, Tarpons!

Oh yeah, if any of you Hondo fans see this, give Coach Chandler a big ol' "Hubba Hubba" for me. From one of his son, Ross's, old classmates from Port Isabel.

Just got in from Alice. Great job Tarpons! :)

"Seawall Defense" played it's usual, but got it give major props to the Tarpons Offensive line for turnin' up a notch. They played great the whole game as they made lots of holes for all Tarpon running backs and gave Gabriel time to throw. Like I said before, it was the Offense that had to win this game, because the defense would keep us in th game and they did they scored plenty.

Good Job Tarpons!

Good Weather, Good Game. PI held their RB to around 70-80?(probably less!) yards after he had 450+ yards the last two games!
PI played great run Defense, maybe too much as Hondo got some big plays from their passing. Just when i thought PI was doing great in the penalty situation, bammmm the penalties showed up. It was last down for PI deep in Hondo territory, #11 is punting at the 10yard line and boom, its a beauty... hits the 20 and rolls and rolls into the endzone and stops by the endzone bleachers!, but.... penalty!, PI is moved back and punts to the 35yard line then the Hondo return guy goes all the way! eek!
They had great size, but they couldn't contain PIs speedsters. PI intercepted Hondo like 4 or 5 times! Great hitz. Their main guy (RB) got hurt in the middle of the first, but came back later in the game. Hondo did have a couple of good runbacks on PIs kickoffs, Hondo's runner was fast but lacking some size, hence was getting punished, but a valiant effort nonetheless.

Who's Next?

Misael (Missile) Iracheta, is brought down by Hondo's RB Gabe Hackebeil, the 6-foot-1, 200-pound back. Had to tackle, since he didn't have too much sucess running the ball. wink
