If Sweeny can beat Rice, I think Wharton can too! Remember how you Rice folks made fun of Sweeny at the first of the year! Watch out for Wharton AND Sweeny next year!

Ok, let's throw out those stupid common opponent scores.

Yes, Sweeny beat Rice.
Edna beat Sweeny.
Rice beat Edna 41-9.

what does it all mean? Nothing.

Rice will beat Wharton because they're better. Period.

i doubt rice will beat wharton 35-8. not saying that they won't win, just saying that it won't be by that much. i have no idea who will win that one... but i haven't seen rice play this year. should be a good game.

Come on crow 22,sounds to me like your running a little scared of the underachievers tiger team.Sounds to me like your scared of big kellen heard i know rice rbs by now our very worried about being hit by kellen,i wonder who is the lucky guy thats going to line up against him.By the third qt they wont want anymore of him.He read what you said about him only wish you would be there in person to tell him.Wharton wins this game by 2 td simply cause wharton is alot better fotball team.By the way crow kellen is just a jr.

Whoever wins this game won't win it because of one player. Wharton has a whole cast of good players. I've never seen Rice play, so I can't comment on them, except to say that they have won several games in the past and they beat Wharton pretty bad last year. I doubt it will be like that again, though. Wharton is a much different team this year.

that kid was a monster against ap. i've never seen a high school player that strong and that dominant on the defensive line.

Ok dipstick.

Number 1: I'm not at Rice anymore.

Number 2: Kellen Heard is one of the WORST football players I have ever seen. He is HUGE and SLOW. Last year, he flat LAID DOWN the entire game. There is NOBODY as OVERRATED as him. Period. That little comment about Heard makes me laugh.

i've only seen him once and believe me, he isn't overrated. if it's the same guy (about 6'7", 350#), he was picking ap's linemen up off their feet. this was a 235 pound kid that he did this to. ask the guys from wharton, they'll tell you what's up.

I'm not going to make a prediction but trust me on this, no one at Rice is scared of any Wharton players. They are taking the game seriously but there is no fear - only excitement over the possibility of a district title. This should be a good one.

Contrary to what Crow 22 said Heard is a much improved player . Last year the potential was there. This year I seen there last few games and he is a man amoung boys destined for Sat. afternoon Football. He not only starts on Defense he starts on Off. and a few special teams . So someone is getting alot out of this kid.

Yeah, you're probably right cflight.

I shouldn't spout off things I don't know.

I just hope ya'll kick the living $#!+ out of the tiggers. Can't stand 'em.

it should b a close one. It depends if wharton's high-powered offense can get anything going against rice's stingy d, if they can i think they win, if they cant i think itll be something like last years game

 I don't know who this Crow 22 cat is, but I sure hope he isn't a coach. I don't see how anyone could watch the Heard kid from Wharton and say he can't play. Kellan Heard may be one of the most dominating Defensive Players in the Nation. Apparantly, this Crow guy has a beef with someone in Wharton, however he needs not take offense to the kids. I have seen both Wharton and Rice play this year and earlier on I would have taken the Tigers in a landslide. However, the Rice team is bouncing back and now I think it will be a whale of a game. Again, please tell me Crow 22, that you don't coach. A coach that is that bad at judging talent needs to be fired.

I'll have to agree w/Crow about Kellen Heard being overrated. When Sealy played Wharton, Heard was big, slow, overrated. My son weighed 265 & he knocked Heard on his butt every time he went against him. Sealy coaches were surprised too cause they always warned my boy that he was big & bad. Did not see it when we played them.

i agree with ya'll if u are talking about the heard of last season, but he hit the weight room and is now by far the strongest person on the team and he has a totally different attitude than last season.
