This game just goes to show everyone that Hempstead is not the pushover team in the district everyone says they are!!! We had several impressive plays and also a few goal line stands with our undersized defense against Sealy's powerful offensive line. Congrats to Sealy for pulling out the win even though the refs did make some shady calls against the Bobcats and missed offensive linemen down the field on one of Sealy's touchdowns. Go 'Cats

The boxscore for this game might be the strangest Ive ever seen. Hempstead scored 20 points and gained right at 200 yards but only had 2 first downs. All three of their TDs were on plays over 85 yards from the same kid. Thats going deep or going down like Ive never seen. Reminds me of the old days when Hempstead had Harvey Williams. He ran sweeps all game and when he turned the corner it was a TD. When he didn't, it was a 3 yard loss.

Well this kid is our qb and i must admit that sealy completely dominated the time of possesion, but our defense did make plays when we really needed them. Did you know Johnny Holland was quarterback at Hempstead when Harvey Williams was the freshman starter at running back??
