I think Taft may not be the cellar dweller this year. They may actually surprise a couple of district foes this year.

I don't know 'bout all that. Taft may do well this year but IMO I don't think they'll make the playoffs.

I think Taft could make the playoffs, but two of the top four teams would have to beat themselves. Aransas has a lot of talent, but would be as likely as anyone to do it. They've got a new coach... and they've got some chemistry issues to work out. If there would be anyone else, I'd have to say West Oso. They have more talent than they've had in a long time, but they're going to have to keep a good attitude through the season to do so. Attitude has killed some of that programs' past teams, we'll just have to wait and see if this class wants it enough.

I honestly can't see either Sinton or Mathis killing themselves. Those kids are put together extremely well and the coaches over there do a great job of keeping those kids in line.

I don't know about recently, but Oso's problems in the past were surrounding keeping their players academically elgible to play. They used to have a pretty hard time with that.

I don't agree with this assessment, sorry Matt. Even though I think this year will be much harder to predict; and the top four teams this year are much more close, here's mine:

2. Sinton (a young team with some decent talent, I'm pulling for them)
3. Aransas Pass (they should still be big and could make a run for first this year)
3. West Oso (talented, but many said before their weaknesses...)
5. Taft (they could make the playoffs with improved size)
6. Ingleside (they burned me last year on my picks and won't do it again, hehe)<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">There's plenty of followers of 30-3A, here. Come on folks, how do you all from 30-3A see it? Post your own list.

here's my thoughts on 30-3a
mathis-one of the top returning offenses in the
area(qb,tb,fb,sm,te)
oso -returning many lettermen,lost top players
though,and grades
sinton- only because of coaching.lost all key
players.and have no experiance
ap- the team is gone blake/heard.may have less
experiance than sinton.
taft- whats the big deal with taft.ha

i will tell you hwat the big deal about taft is... they are finally a cohesive unit. these players coming up now have been playing together since they were in peewee football. I only put mathis 1st because i know they will make the playoffs, didnt think sinton would win district, and taft wont win it all... so they got there by default =x
