My wife and I were interested in seeing some good football and were not disapointed in the game at kyle firld sat. I noticed that burnets qb(7) and wr(8) were both hobbling around what is the status for the big game. I hope they are ok, because they can really put on a show. those 2 guys are unstoppable everman is in for a long night.

Man, this #8 was incredible. He found ways to get open. If burnet keeps several starters on defense, they're going to be just as powerful next year.

If i remember right from what i have seen and heard they are returning alot of players. they could be tough.
if 8 & 7 are healthy they will win by 2 or 3 tds

Burnet will be returning 7 on offense and 7 on defense, including #7 Jordan Shipley and #8 Stephan McGee. :D

I think Burnet returns something like 7 on O and 7 on D. Both number 7 & 8 return. The O looses the good RB, the TE and the big OT. The D looses some DL, 2 LBs, and the DB (#20) that popped those 2 WRs so hard near the end of the game.

can someone tell me what the extent of the injuries are to 8 and 7? I saw that some everman players were banged up against forney. 42 and 4 were getting pounded during the game.

Also heard that Templeton got an offer to play at Arkansas as their kicker. Let me know if this is just a rumor. Even if it is one he should get something because the boy can kick the hell out of the ball.

I have heard that McGee and Shipley have both been heavily recruited by both A&M & Texas Tech. Seems that most schools want the pair- imagine that. Saturday's game being at Kyle Field, I wonder what Mr. Franchione thought of those boys? There have also been other schools like Purdue and such interested in McGee. I am sure there are more, but don't know of anything else for certain.

They are both also attractive academically. Shipley's grades are high, but McGee's are higher- he carries a 4.0 . The beauty here is that they are only juniors and have another season to make up their minds where they want to go. I think it will be them choosing a school- rather than a school choosing them; and any school would be lucky to have them. Both are impressive young men personally as well.

I'm sure the list is much deeper than this now, but after his sophomore season last year, McGee was being sought after by Texas,Texas A&M, UCLA, Stanford, Purdue, Michigan and several others. If he stays healthy and continues to improve throughout next year, he will have his choice of any major college in the country. I don't know about Shipley's offers, but I'm sure he has received plenty of interest. I heard a month ago, on the prep recruiting ticker, that Patrick Miller holds 2 Div. I offers presently. Eddie Parker has already received a full ride to play at Georgia Tech. We have several Div. I players on this team, I just hope they can put it all together for one more game. Go Burnet Bulldogs!

It was written on a UT Sports Notes Shipley was rated the #9 prospect, McGee #3 prospect. these are Texas prospects only, it did not include out of state prospects.
