I just read that the Cowboys released Emmitt Smith today. It is indeed a sad day with what he has contributed to the team. Of course it gives him an opportunity to maybe get on with a team with a good offensive line because I felt last year there wasn't anything wrong with Emmitt Smith but rather that line in front of him. I think he has two or three more years left. Of course it makes economic sense for the cowboys since with the money they save they may be able to sign a few free agents that may help them so hopefully it will be a win-win situation for everyone even though it is still a sad day.
