I think its kind of neat, a sort of noteriety, that I have only 3 stars. I noticed Turbostud and
HotDawg89 are in this class too. If I was really hacked off about it, I'd do like Old Card and 3afan and not let my stars shine. I got this with no cuss words, just the ability to rub somebody the wrong way during the play-offs. Well, just wait till football season starts again. :D I like the stars system. It's a game.

I've been nice to everyone on this board, and entertaining if I do say so myself. I don't think I even made anyone mad with my remarks about Burnet either. I was fair. Amazing how some of us just get left in the outhouse huh? I'll fix you up pakrat!!!

How many votes do you guys have? If there's only two votes, and one person doesn't like you, you should be able to easily raise those stars. On the other hand, if you have like 20 votes and you're a three-star poster, you probably will be staying one. I doubt that's the case though, because I haven't noticed anything negative from you .

How does this star/vote system work?? I see that I have recieved 1 vote and thus only have 1 star.

People can rate any person based on a five-star system. That's why so many scrubs have five-stars. They just get one person to give them a five-star vote, and they become a five-star poster. You then recieved one star from one person, so that's all you have. As more votes are recieved, it is harder to maintain high levels. For instance, my star rating s 4.48 right now, only two hundreths of a point from rounding to a five-star poster. But I have 5 votes, so it will be harder for me to gain points than you.

So where does this voting take place? I'm a new kid on the block, someone will have to teach me the ropes!

Look in the left hand column underneath the poster's name. You will see "Member Rated". Click on that and it will bring up a screen with a pull-down menu for voting. Make your choice then vote. If you want to see your own rating, in the upper right hand corner, click on "My Profile" and it will take you to a screen that will show you how others have rated you, and give you a list of everyone you have voted for. You cannot see who rated you, but you can get a summary of how you were rated by others.

Well, I must have really ticked someone off because I have had 9 votes, and still only rate a 2.72- barely a 3 star. Oh well- I am going to keep on posting anyway. Eventaully someone will like me- and if they don't... I'm going to keep on posting anyway...get the idea??? :p

I just don't get it- Yesterday, I had 10 votes, and a 2.92. Today, I have 11 and a 2.88. How does that happen? I didn't even post the last couple of days, I only read. How could I possibly have ticked someone off? Absolutely unreal. I give up.

Hey I saw this topic a couple of days ago and just passed by(I was still 5 stars then), but now Im back and would like to join the club. In 2 days I went from 3 votes to 8. I dont even remember saying anything bad about anyone.

Apparantly, we have some infantile posters that think it's funny to downgrade anyone with a five star rating. I got zinged too, I'm down to a four again. This is the third time. I've had 47 votes. You can turn it off by choice. In your profile, simply say "No" to "allow your rating to be seen?". I'm getting kinda tired of these idiots .

I look forward to playing y'all in baseball this year. The 9 refers to baseball, are you a baseball mom as well? The playoffs are a long way off, but we always enjoy the rivalry between our two teams. Good luck to all you posters out there.

I'd also like to thank those guys who have tried to help me out. Over the past week, I've gained about 18 votes, and I'm now a solid 4, without much hope of moving up or down. Thanks guys for helping me out with the pitfall that saw my rating drop by a full .5 in a week. It will be a lot more difficult for people to hurt me now.
