Laury signed with the University of NORTHERN Iowa. He'll be real good there, but he didn't have the size to sign with a Big 10 school. This is from the UNI's web site:

Forney, TX – Baylen Laury, 5-10, 170, Fr., DB/RB, Forney High School

2nd team all-state RB, honorable mention all-state CB…Earned three letters in football and track…Selected to play in the Texas vs. Oklahoma All-Star game…Class 3A district MVP, 1st team all-conference…Rushed for 2,250 yards and 41 TDs his senior year…Recorded 50 tackles and eight interceptions…Academic all-district…Coached by Kevin Rush…Born Jan. 8, 1986…Son of Pat Griggs and Anthony Sharp.

Yes, mistake. You said Laury signed with the University of Iowa, not the University of Northern Iowa.

While I have you Forney folk's attention, the Austin American Statesman had a picture of your hometown's own Curtis Thigpen blasting one of out the park against San Diego Saturday.

11:00 Sunday night sports news had an interview with Curtis. He went 3 for 4 and is hitting .547!
