Once upon a time in 2003, some E-Tex boys got together to see
What kind of game that they might play, that would keep them all in a winning way...
Cops and robbers would be not good: None of them wanted to play a hood!
Cowboys and Indians sure wasn't right for amongst themselves they would not fight...
They needed to find some other boys to wear black hats and be their ploys...
So, they called the coach and worked real hard and set their game at the old grid yard.
Before the season got underway, ten schools got a call from the old "AD"...
He said: "Five of you come to the Tiger Den, we'll visit you other five, and then
Show the whole darn state how defense is played, cause we've built ourselves a steel stockade."
We forged our defense at Lone Star Steel and our offense runs on an even keel...
Over our heads you will not pass and we'll hardly let you trod our grass,
So bring your best, your biggest name, we're re-inventing the football game.
Yes, the Tigers had it made in the shade...
The year they perfected the steel stockade.
