wow, thats awesome...and we should have won that game anyway.

that's the only one i wasn't at, because i was on vacation, and i heard that we were like 1 of 4 inside the 10 yard line...but i dont care that we lost that one cuz it was so early, and people overlooked us.

The wing t, Jamon Edwards #1 and Boo Beechum #40 both are awsome backs.. Jamon Edwards had 306 yards against Rusk, Beechum had 4 tds against Center... both are great backs.

After a slow start Carthage has come on strong. I still think Forney will be too tough. Forney wins 34 to 14.

Don't forget that Forney is also a baseball school too because they played us a very tough game in the State Championship game this year in baseball and their catcher and third baseman were very good. We were fortunate that their ace pitcher had to be used in a tough extra inning against Lorena the night before. This year Forney wins their second playoff game is my prediction.

Forney's Defense held a team averaging Id say at least 40 points in district and held them to 16...the offense scored 33 points agains the team that shut out their district...now, i know WP came from a weak district...but still......I dont see Forney losing for a while

I am so happy that Forney is playing Friday and Celina is playing Saturday. I am betting Both Forney and Celina make it to the Big Show this year in the two divisions....my other 2 picks are Sinton and Newton.

Carthage is going to bust out the offensive game with Jamon Edwards and Boo Beechum. They will share 4 td's and the defense will hold Forney to 3 td's with Justin Goolsby at LB and Terrell Matlock at DE. It will be close, Tough game played, Carthage 28 Forney 24.

i am afraid it isn't as easy as you say it is to beat forney.

how can you expect to shut down our offense?

also, we have a great run defense...it'll be hard for yall just to get first downs, let alone touchdowns.

Forney is playing better right now than I've seen them play all year. Hopefully they are peaking at the right time and can keep it up throughout the playoffs. If Forney brings their "A" game they should be in good shape!

Lmao at thinking Carthage will win this game. Only if Forney lays down on the field or takes an early supper break! Carthage, Forney is awesome right now. They did WP dirty (I mean they embarrassed us) and I think it will be worse for ya'll. How can you say you will hold their offense? Forney will run the ball up and down the field all Friday night, they will not be held, and Jimbo can wear himself out running that flag. Good luck Forney! Show me that WP got beat by one of the best teams 3a has to offer... Otherwise I'll get damn depressed!

I agree runninrabbit04, that is one thing that seperates the Forney players from the other people on this site. I'm sitting next to the starting DB and one of our WR's. The players have an understanding not to get on this site and run their mouths.

I haven't seen Forney this year, but I have seen Carthage. They are very physical and have good speed. They do a good job of controlling the line of scrimmage and put together long scoring drives. Their offensive line was as strong as I have seen all year long. (vs. Gladewater)

This game will be close and low scoring. I'm guessing 20 - 14. Don't know which way it will go. Should be a good one.

I know every team at this point is strong but I was trying to get some infomation on Carthage. It looks like Carthage was in a three way tie for the District Title and Tatum has already been sent home. District 16 will get another taste of District 13 as Wilmer-Hutchins plays Rusk this weekend. All three District 13 teams are still playing and with our District games along with our non-district games (Aledo and Commerce) Forney should be more prepared for a tough game.

Anyone got any infomation on those East Texas Bulldogs!

Fellas...I don't think one player from Forney posts on here...these opinions are coming from observers of high school football...not players most of the time..I have a few "sources" around Forney and I don't know of one player from Forney that posts...most of the state is of the opinion Forney is the team to beat in Region 2...they are playing great right now..Carthage is a good team and sure they have a shot anything can happen..but if was a betting man my money would be on Forney..

I must make a correction. There is 1 Forney player that has posted something on here. I believe I know who it is and hopefully that is his first and final post. If I'm right he is just a sophomore JV player that got moved up with the rest of the JV for the playoffs. Sorry about this guys.

Well, I understand that Carthage won't just roll over, but neither did Wilmer-Hutchins or Wills Point. Unless you think that Carthage would have dominated those teams like Forney did, you have to admit that this game shouldn't be close. That's not to say that it won't, but it shouldn't. No disrespect meant toward Carthage, but Wills Point and Wilmer-Hutchins were top ten teams. I just don't see that from Carthage

Well, after doing some research this game on paper should be a blow out by Forney. I realize you still have to play the game and the game is not decided by paper stats but by the score at the end of the game. The third place team in District 13-3A (Crandall)is ranked higher than Carthage. We all know how Forney ManHandled both Crandall(22-0)and Wilmer-Hutchins(58-30) in district play and followed up with a 33-16 beating to the 6th ranked team in the state Wills Point. So I think the sign for last weeks game should be appropriate for Carthage as well!

OK I've had enough...To all the new Forney poster's on this board. Have some class. Respect your opponent, have pride in your school, but have class. I've seen several of you kids post some things here that do nothing to promote Forney football as the class act that I think it is. You'll learn things like this as you get older. I would hate to say "Tell your Mama to take a picture - this is your last game" and have your A$$ handed to you on Fri.

Next, ranking don't mean jack. Do you think that WP was really the #6 team in the state? Probably not. A good team, yes, but not #6. You can't say well so and so is ranked higher than so and so, and we beat them so we could beat you guys. Come on.

I don't know if I'm one of the people that you all think is talking trash, but if I am, I'm not intentionally doing it. I just feel that logically, it should be a win for Forney hands down. But at the same time, I know that anything can happen. Carthage wouldn't be in the playoffs right now if they weren't a good team. I think that Forney definetely has more talent than Carthage, but that's not going to matter tomorrow night. Playoff games are about heart. If Carthage comes out and shows that they want the win more than Forney, we could be in some trouble. I haven't seen our guys play without passion at any point in this year (except possibly Aledo), and I don't expect it to happen tomorrow either. But if our guys come out expecting to just run all over Carthage without an effort, all I can say is good luck in the next round Carthage.

I think this is going to be a really good game..last week I was really worried about Wills Point, the first half it was 12-10, a pretty close game, Our guys really had a great second half to win it, and this week I think is going to be a really good game, Carthage just beat Gladewater, a good team, and in their regular season has only lost to good teams...and not blowout losses either, so if Carthage can stop the run good I think this will be a close one, hopefully in Forney's favor. I won't be bak until after the game is played guys...later

I think this game is probably going to be the most physical game of the year so far for both teams. Both of these programs are built on a smash mouth principal. I look for the game to go either one way or the other by 14 or more.

I think we're going to have a low-scoring game tonight for both teams. Both teams run the ball so much that they just eat up clock time. We could have one of the shortest games as far as time length this year. I like what Forney's defense has done against the run this year, especially early in games. They seem to give up more as the game goes on and they get tired, so I think that the start is going to be crucial. My predicted final score tonight:
