I would sit on the Burnet side, but if Wharton brings the same number of people that they brought Friday night we'll find more room on their side...

I swear, I saw more people in Victoria last year for Bandera than I did for Wharton this year at Victoria...

That's really sad, their team has pulled it together and is looking really good...

We'll have to decide if we want to meet before the game or during the half. I think Sinton66 & OldGreen will also be there. Half would probably work out best. If I remember correctly there are some stands in the end zone area, maybe we could meet there???

Since Burnet are going to be guests to the Coastal Bend area, we'll meet outside of the ticket-booth on their side...

Just gather around the guy wearing the 'Got Burnet?' shirt (Old Green) and the guy wearing the 'Burnet Sucks' shirt (me) and the guy wearing the 'And I really don't give a crap' shirt (66)...

Fun times...

The wife and I will be coming in one of the charters. I would love to meet some of you folks.

It is sad when some folks don't support the teams,
as fine as this Wharton team is. Last year it was very sad to see the Wharton band, all 9 of them.
There were not many from Wharton in Round Rock.

I hope to get a ride with someone because I am poor college student, but luckily I can walk and see how Jasper can do against Waco Connally on Friday. I don't know how far Huntsville is to Victoria, but it would be great if I could see it. If Burnet wins then I'll see them after Thanksgiving. Good luck Bulldogs.

I heard that Burnet could be playing in Victoria again next week too if Sinton beats Zapata(which I believe they will) and Burnet beats Wharton,(which I believe we will).

Im sure everyone who posts on here from Burnet will be there..and anyone who says they arent going is lieing.haha :D Im only kidding.But just about everyone who posts is either a part of the team, or the band, or highlandettes. All the rest (the fans) should be considered a part of the team also because theyve been there right along with us! :)

O.k., I'm starting to feel a bit left out in the cold here. Are you guys gonna still welcome me when I come over to meet you? It really would be an honor and a priviledge to do so. I admire and respect you guys, your team and fans and would like the opportunity to shake your hands. Everyone should have that kind of support. You guys remind me of my days back in Lufkin. It would appear, as things stand right now, I'm the only Wharton fan who has posted. I'd like to bring my son, a 7th grade Wharton Tiger and my daughter, an 8th grade Lady Tiger, over with me to meet everyone. Is that o.k.?

Yes, the band program leaves a lot to be desired. Wharton once had a 160 member band , I'm told, but with the resignation of the band director and I don't know what all else, the band went into a decline. I have word from the current band director himself that in another year or two, we should be back to 80 or so strong. There is a rebuilding process going on right now.

About the places to eat, I don't really get to Victoria much and would like to take my kids out to eat before the game. Any recommendations?

Trust me, my kids will be at the game with me. I don't ever go anywhere without them. I just wanted it to be o.k. for me to bring them over to meet everyone, that is, if I can get them to. You guys know how teenagers can be, get real shy all of a sudden! The three of us were at the Wharton/Burnet game together last year.

Places to eat in Victoria:
Montana Mike's Hwy 77 My choice for Saturday.
Red Lobster Hwy 77
Ryan's Steak House Hwy 77
Corral Steak House Bus. 59 North
Leo's Steak House Bus 59 North Airport
Hwy 77 has several good TexMex and other places to eat.

Tigers are looking foward to playing Burnet again. Tigers have to played two teams in a row that were in the top ten this year and you have play the rest sooner or later, so why not this weekend. The Tigers is healthly and ready to get some respect back. Give our little band a big cheer they are working hard. You have an awesome band, cheerleaders and drill team.

I know most stadiums do not allow fans from one end to "visit" the other end. So, do we want to plan a meeting before the game, I know we'll all be there at least 1 hour before game time! wink :D And if we meet before the game, which side, home or visitor?? So many decisions to make, and time is winding down. So, someone make a decision.

I'll be there, however, I'm chaperoning the drill team. Our band is small, but they try! Our drill team is awesome like ya'lls and Saturday they'll be doing two routines I think you'll enjoy-a chair routine and a kick routine. The entire night will be a night to remember!
