In the Part III article at www.caller. (http://www.caller.) com click sports, the writer tells of the last 13 Super Bowls and rates them. I will have little comment since most of you are probably familiar with them since they are recent. The main good thing about it is that Dallas won 3 Super Bowls during the 90s earning them the title of Team of the 90s. In Dallas second game with the Bills the Cowboys were behind by 7 points. Leon Lett who was a great player but made several mistakes such as getting the ball knocked out of his hand before crossing the goal line in the prior super bowl (which was meaningless since Dallas was so far ahead and looking at films it looked so close that I wonder if the ball had crossed the plane before it was knocked out) and then he goofed against Miami that same year on trying to recover a ball that was already going to Dallas and Miami recovered with 1 second left to kick a field goal and win (it was the last Dallas defeat of that season and Miami's last win ironically).
In the second Super Bowl between Dallas and Bufalo Leon Lett redemned himself with Dallas trailing by 7 points and Bufalo was moving the ball when Lett hit Thurman Thomas causing a fumble and Washington picked it up and carried to the endzone. This tied the score but the tide was in Dallas' favor and they went on to win the game.
The Super Bowl where Dallas beat the Steelers 27 to 17 was extra sweet because of the Steeler's two victories in the 70s. This time things went Dallas' way. One time one of the Dallas players was blocked into a punt to Dallas that Pittsburgh had punted and the Steelers recovered in Dallas territory and thought they had a break but since he was blocked into the ball it was as if he hadn't touched it so Dallas retained possession. The Steeler coach was upset and questioned it but the call stood. Actually it was the correct call based on the rules but with the way the other two games had been could have been Dallas luck that the Steelers got the ball but fortunately didn't. With about 4 1/2 minutes left in the game Pittsburgh had the ball and was only 3 points behind but Larry Brown made a big interception and ran it down to the Steelers' 6 yard line. When he saw the interception Troy Aikman smiled broadly and went out on the field and Dallas got a touchdown which gave them a comfortable ten point lead and enabled the Cowboys to win the game.

After Dallas first two super bowl wins the 49ers obtained Dion Sanders who was won of the few backs who could cover Michael Irwin one on one. In the following NFC Championship the 49ers won and went to the super bowl and beat San Diego. The Cowboys ended the nonsense when they signed Dion the following year and went to the super bowl and beat the Steelers. A good sign by the Cowboys.
